Image below is 'negative' of image above - mandelbrot set in white. (1) shows anvil shaped limit between similar atoms (bulbs), and (2) shows how pinched area between atoms should look. The white speckles are small copies (molecule) of the parent mandelbrot set. There are an infinite number of them mixed in with the froth at all scales. Each molecule is similar, but not the same.
