*NOTE* I'm looking into getting some large format inkjet prints available (16-18" square). These will still be very good quality, but a fraction of the cost of the high quality lightjet prints I'm offering below. Perhaps around $20.00 a print. I'll update this page as soon as I know the situation.
Like the images in the gallery? (what? you haven't seen the gallery yet? click here.) I'm offering photographic quality prints and posters of these pictures. What makes a good print?
First off, all the images in the online gallery are scaled down from much larger originals, which are not available online. My originals come in two sizes - 4096x4096 pixels (16.7 megapixel image) and 8192x8192 pixels (67.1 megapixel image). Every pixel in these original files is sampled - they are not blowups of smaller files. These huge files are key in producing an outstanding large print. Some of these images took 1-2 weeks to create on a gigahertz class PC.
Next, I have these originals printed out on a large format, continuous tone, lightjet printer (not an inkjet printer). The glossy prints are rendered on Fujicolor crystal archive paper, which will not fade for decades, unlike most inkjet prints. The detail in the prints is unbelievable. You've got to see one to believe it. There's detail evident in the prints that you can't even see in the megapixel images I make available online. This isn't surprising considering a 8192x8192 pixel original has 67 times the area of a 1024x1024 pixel gallery image.
The resulting print looks like a high quality photograph, and is suitable for framing. If you like fractal art consider ordering a print or poster. You won't be disappointed.
I don't have any prints in stock; they are printed when you place your order. I don't personally own a lightjet printer (they cost $$$), so all prints are done at a local print shop where I live. I'm basically charging what it costs me to create the print, plus a modest profit. There is a substantial reduction in price if you order more then one print of the same kind and size. Multiply total order by 5% to determine shipping charge. Use the table below to determine size and price:
