Here we've zoomed into the tip of one of the froth chains leading to a molecule. The areas circled in blue show what I call endless drops. There are no molecules here, just bottomless chains of froth orbiting points circled in blue. The areas circled in green show where molecules would be found if one were to zoom in.

It can sometimes be hard to tell where to zoom into a region of froth to locate a molecule. This is an easy example. One of the skills in navigating the Mandelbrot fractal is learning to how 'break' a chain of froth, and locate the molecules in it. Most of the interesting things in the Mandelbrot set are found while zooming into a molecule, as in the upcoming zoom sequences.
