Here's the next feature worthy of note in this sequence. I call it a '4-way', as a bunch of chains of froth come together and merge in various ways. From the resulting orgy only 4 continue on towards the molecule (center of image). These 'x-way' crossings always appear to be a power of two (eg, x = 2,4,8,16,32,...), continuing on towards the limit.

Note how the two lines of the froth from the 2-way, approaching from east and west, are met by two newly created lines, coming in from north and south, creating the 4-way.
