Instead of a 16 way interchange something strange has happened. Two structures have appeared around the point we're tunneling towards, which is circled in blue. I call these structures 'catchers' or distractions. The top catcher, circled in red, is shown magnified below.

In this case the catchers eat all the non-local incoming lines of froth, and only admit two lines (one each) towards the molecule we're zooming towards. So in this case we could say we have a 16 to 4 way interchange. One finds many such strange froth line interchanges while zooming towards molecules. The catchers increase the length of the 'tunnel' one must zoom through to reach a molecule. They slow down and often setback the period doubling of the froth chains. Catchers appear at the point one would expect to see a molecule in a zoom sequence.

Also note that they're an infinite number of molecules buried in the catcher structures also, such as the molecule buried in the center of the catcher blowup, circled green. However all of these molecules are 'further away' then the one we are tunneling towards (again, circled in blue, above).
